Welcome aboard!

Get ready to have an awesome experience and an overall great day. Not only will you have a blast catching your limit fishing, but our Alaska fishing trip packages allow for opportunities to see different marine wildlife, birds, mammals, and whales. We try to point out everything that we spot to give you ample photo opportunities. Salmon and halibut fishing in Alaska is a fun and exciting way to spend quality time with family and friends.

The where, when, and how

Our Homer fishing trips start promptly at 6:30 am (7:00 am depart after August 15, 8:00 am depart in Sept.) when we meet at Buttwhackers fillet stations 4380 Homer Spit Rd (right behind the Salty Dawg Saloon). There is plenty of free parking in front of the Salty Dawg on the spit. Please allow yourself enough extra time to get situated and to the right location so we may all convene and take off on time.

We will be underway for 1 - 2 hours heading through Kachemack Bay and the Lower Cook inlet. On some days, the timing of the tide will make for better fishing closer to shore, whereas on other days we will need to go farther out. The trip duration will depend both on the tides and on the charter package you've chosen. Typically, you can plan to be back at the dock no later than 4:30 pm. The fish haulers will meet us dockside, unload, haul, and process your catch. Fish processing services are handled separately for vacuum packing, freezing & shipping.

You'll likely have worked up an appetite being out on the water, and lucky you, because the Homer Spit is just the right place to be when you're hungry!  You will find the freshest catches and most delicious cuisine in nearby restaurants.  Be sure to make reservations ahead of time, as restaurants tend to fill up quickly in the summer.  Here are some of our favorite spots to recommend:
